Shinkyokushin Program: 2 days/week Training Kids & Adults

 

Shinkyokushin Karate (Kids, Teens & Adults)

Shinkyokushinkai Karate traces its original roots to Kyokushin Karate and its founder Sosai Mas Oyama to our current Kaicho Kenji Midori Shihan (The 5th world open kyokushin karate tournament champion ).

The Shin prefix means new, the translation simply means “New Kyokushin” (Ultimate Truth) and while we have kept true to the Kyokushin values and training format of keeping the Budo system and the knockdown format in place we are constantly striving to improve the quality of our training both locally and internationally.

Adults can register in this program and learn the full syllabus of this Japanese Martial Arts. This program includes the three elements of traditional karate training which are Kihon (Basic Techniques), Kata (forms), and Kumite (fighting). For those interested in competitive fighting, opportunities are available from light contact formats all the way to bare-knuckle full contact knockdown fights.

Interested students can work towards competing at any level. Adults are able to continue training even if they are not interested in full contact fighting competition.

The physical demands of karate training help develop cardiovascular endurance, strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Great benefits are found for the mind as well — as karate helps relieve stress, increases focus and awareness, and develops a resilient and unshaken spirit. Classes are available for Adults and Juniors to train together so that family members can spend quality time with each other. Adult-only classes are offered as well.

Fitness Kickboxing Program: 2 days/week Training Teens-Adults   

The Kickboxing program is designed to improve physical conditioning, overall fitness, as well as the cardio vascular system and flexibility. These classes include learning techniques, target training, bag training, partner training, cardio training, stretching, flexibility, and strength training. 

Sparring training is available for those who are interested in fighting.

Mini Karate for kids from 4 to 6 yrs old :  2 days/week Training

These classes are taught specifically for 4-6 year olds. This program mainly focuses on discipline, focus, flexibility, physical strength, basic techniques and sparring which is one of the most popular part of these classes. Martial Arts games, jumping on a trampoline, rolling on a crash mat, target training and lots of stretching are some of this program's curriculum. Consistent feedback and praise, based on real accomplishments, strengthens the child’s self-confidence and reinforces positive behavior
